Or all the way down, you're driving along and the window suddenly drops down a few inches. Have you ever had to replace one of your Electric Window Regulators?
Our publication is written for the GM automobiles. I have saved customers and myself $100's of dollars.
I was able to fix them for $100's less than what the dealer quoted. Two windows in my Buick stopped working this past week. Update.
The basic steps to replacing the regulator are:
Don't worry you can purchase new clips at an auto parts store like Auto Zone, some will break. There are plastic pins all around the door. Take a screwdriver and pry the door panel off, locate the various screws holding the panel. Remove the door panel.
Power locks etc, don't forget to disconnect any electric connectors for the windows.
Use your blue masking tape and drape it over the doorframe and both sides of the window, pull the glass up to the top of the doorframe. You can see the glass, once you get the door panel off.
) But I found for a few more dollars I could replace the whole regulator and motor, you can just replace the motor, (If your motors bad. Remove the regulator and motor attached. Remove the screws holding the regulator onto the doorframe. Take out the screws. The window regulator is attached to two clamps on the bottom of the window.
